Shipping Policy
Passes valid in the next calendar month will be available for purchase on the 10th day of the month. Pass orders placed after the 22nd of the month will be processed and mailed but we cannot ensure your order will be received by the first day of the pass month (choosing express delivery will shorten delivery time). All passes (except annual passes - see Return Policy for more information) and ticketbooks are non-refundable, non-replaceable, and non-exchangeable.
All orders, including those with express delivery, will be processed and mailed within 3 business days (excluding Saturdays, Sundays and holidays) from the day Metro receives the order (assuming your credit card is authorized). All orders are sent via United States Postal Service unless you request express delivery. King County assumes no responsibility for items lost, stolen, misplaced, or delayed in the mail.
Orders valued at $100 or more, and all Ship-to-Shore passes, are sent via USPS certified mail and require a signature for delivery. You may have your order sent to your work address if no one will be available at your residence to sign for the order. The post office will make three delivery attempts and after 10 days will send the order back to the local post office. If not claimed after 14 days it will be returned to Metro. Metro assumes no responsibility for delivery upon receipt and signature by an individual at the address given.
